Heat/cold insulation with klimalan

Due to the outstanding properties of wool, klimalan is suitable for protecting against variations in temperature and humidity: as wool insulation in the installation level of framehouses, to improve heat protection in summer or as interior insulation against cold walls when renovating existing buildings. Combined with other ecological building materials such as thermalan, components with an excellent living value-cost ratio can be realised.

Due to its fibre structure, wool can absorb up to 30% of its dry weight in moisture and release it back again. That means there is no need for a vapour barrier when installing it. The high density of klimalan results in lower heat conductivity and higher heat storage capacity. The felt support and a high density safeguard the installation against settling. The sheep wool insulation is simply tacked to the substructure with the felt support.
